Metal-bond grinding

Coarse diamonds flatten the slab and remove coatings, mastic and curl.

A lithium silicate hardener reacts with free lime to chemically harden the surface.

Questions we get asked

How long does polishing take?

Most Metro Atlanta warehouses run 3,000–6,000 sq ft per crew day. A 40,000 sq ft facility typically finishes in 6–9 days, and we phase the work so operations never fully stop.

Can you polish an old slab?

Yes. Many Atlanta slabs from the 1970s–1990s polish beautifully once we grind through the surface paste. Where aggregate is exposed unevenly, we recommend a salt-and-pepper or cream finish accordingly.

Will cracks still show?

Cracks are repaired with semi-rigid polyurea before polishing. They will be structurally sound and visually minimized, but polished concrete keeps its honest, industrial character.
